GIRLS WITH GUITARS SHOWCASE
|
Free Concert - Homestead Resort, Midway, UT 7 PM
A special showcase concert will feature prominent Utah women artists, performing together at the Homestead Resort Lawn Concert Series in conjunction with the Timpanogos SingerSongwriter Alliance. They are:
Algie Powers, Esther Fors, Kris Evans and Theresa Ellis.

They will be playing not only some of their original works, but also a nice variety of classic rock, alternative, swing, folk and classical.
Instrumentation: guitars, bass, mandolin, accordian, and fiddle with vocals.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS FOR STRINGS REGISTRATION
|
You have always wanted to play with the "band" and the "jam session" is how to get started. Workshops are scheduled throughout the summer for beginner fiddlers, guitar and mandolin students. If you are a pro player or have already gotten this experience, come ready to perform for the rest of us. Dates: Tues June 30, Tue July 7, Thur July 9, Tues July 21, Thur July 23, Wed July 29, Wed Aug 5, Wed Aug 12
Time: 1:30-2:30 PM
Price: $20 per student (or if more than one, per family)/ gratis for pro players
Discount: pre-pay 2 workshops at a time, $5 off second workshop

GARAGE/YARD SALE THIS WEEKEND!

Friday and Saturday June 26, 27 there will be reduced rates on selected Music Gear still for sale. This is part of a three family sale at 3230 N. River Drive, in Eden, UT. Other items: Performing Renaissance costume dresses, table saw, tools, couch, desks, kids stuff, car carrier, books all kinds of stuff. We're going for it, rain or shine so don't miss out.

Theresa Ellis will be performing with various groups this summer as well as writing new arrangements (for Cori Connors Christmas Album) and recording solo and strings. Here are some highlights:
Red Cliffs Ranch in Huntsville with Tim Daniels Friday eve June 26.
Utah Arts Festival Sat. June 27 with Cool Hand Luc-arelli Trio 9 PM classical/jazz concert with John Flanders and Michael Lucarelli.
Playing with a newly formed Renaissance Troupe "Pirates in Mens Pants" as Lady Athena, captured from the High Courts of Spain and made to play on a dead man's fiddle. You can see her at the Tooele County Fair Fri 2 PM July 31.
In concert with Shades of Grey July 24 Park City Park Pioneer Celebration, and Sat August 15 Ogden Valley Balloon Festival night concert.
Also the same day of the Balloon Fest Sat. 3-5 PM with singer Bill Brimley and his group High Water.
Also performing with the SOG 'alter-ego band' Pladdohg at the Balloon Festival in Aug. and Pladdohg again at the Music in the Mountains concert series Sat. September 5, 7-10 PM at Wolf Mountain, Eden, Utah, playing Irish-American Celtic-Rock music.
Theresa will also be performing with the renowned SterlingSingers.com in patriotic concert September 11-12, Sugarhouse, Utah at the Granite Tabernacle, Kelly DeHaan, Director.
Here are plenty of opportunities to see your teacher, friend or collegue in concert, and support live "Music in the Air"!
