DOG DAZE *WORKSHOP* AND SHOP BEST

My one song summer, just layin' around!

Been havin' so much fun enjoying the summer, I almost forgot to send out "Happy Birthday" to all the doggie friends. My little furry friend Dahlia Boop got her Sloppy Kiss birthday card and it reminded me to salute puppies everywhere.

It feels like I've literally invented the hammock, because my music work has afforded me to meticulously work one song at a time, writing arrangements, programming, nuances, plans, etc. Practicing bunches for recording the final tracks of "Tales of the Celts", contemporary songs that Jim Anglesey wrote. And if all goes well should be released by the end of the year.

Workshop/Jam (to learn how) for all instruments:
July 28 at 6 PM Beginner and at 7 PM Intermediate
August 11 at 6 PM Beginner and at 7 PM Intermediate

AND SOME LOCAL NEWS

Death of a Rock Icon

“Death of a rock icon” Bill Porter 79 passed away in Ogden, Utah on July 9, 2010. He was the first recording engineer who was inducted into the Audio Hall of Fame, according to the Encyclopedia of Country Western Music. In one week alone in 1960, he had 15 Top 100 Billboard singles on the charts. He created the sound on such No. 1 records as Elvis Presley's ‘It's Now or Never’ and Roy Orbison's ‘Pretty Woman.’” Linda East Brady journalist for the Standard Examiner said it was a little known fact that he moved to our area, and she wished she could have interviewed him before he was gone. It said in the newspaper article that “he had thousands and thousands of records, and DVD and memorabilia, we had to get a bigger place to fit it all."
