FULL MOON JAMMIN GATHERINGS!
|
 |
Educational and Fun
Come and get experience playing music and meet other music
people by attending music jams at the home of Theresa
Ellis in Eden, Utah. Also from this area in
Ogden Valley the group Shades
of Grey have been known to show up at the jams.
For novice (if you are not sure how), or just want to play
with others, all are welcome to come, eat and just plain howl
at the moon this summer. The first one will be held Thursday
May 31st out on the pickin' porch in back. Informal and fun
is the theme, families are welcome to bring the kids, also
it will run from 4-10 PM so BYO meat for the bar-b-que eats.
On some calendars, it says full moon is June 1, but astronomers
would tell you it actually starts on May 31. So it is kind
of both days and I picked the Thursday, so I could be there
for the whole time.
I will provide the paper products, drinks (non-alcoholic)
and be available for coaching for the 6 hours. It will be
a workshop style, or plain jamming (depending on who gets
there when). This is for adults and children, beginners and
pros, singers and players, all welcome listeners, too. There
could be small groups, or one large group, depending on how
it works out. But however it goes, hopefully it will be a
loony great night. Bring your friends and family even if they
are not playing or singing.

Valley Elementary Orchestra and Guitar Concert
*** END OF SCHOOL YEAR***
|
A big thanks goes to Tommy Lee principal at Valley and Brent
Broome at Snowcrest and the kids and parents!
Where: Snowcrest Jr Hi
When: Wednesday May 16, 2007 at 7PM
Who: Beginner and Advanced Orchestras with Guitar Ensemble,
and Valley Band
Special Awards will be given that evening!
There is a lot to be said for the commitment it takes to hang
in there for the whole school year when learning a musical
instrument in a class. I appreciate the opportunity to serve
the valley area schools and community by teaching music to
the young. Thanks to Fed-Ex Kinkos for helping
me to print and bind the music method books for the kids that
I wrote this year. And thanks for all the patience of not
having page numbers in these books! Also a big thanks to graphic
artist Zena Manley, and my helpers Sue Hansen, Suzanne
Barilec, Sandra Jenkins, Sean Healey, and student teacher
Addison Brown. I feel we had a great first year.
I am returning in the Fall - let's do it again.
